Junction Café started as a dream in Tannum Sands, where Melissa Smart first worked as the cafe's chef before taking over the café with her husband, Matthew, in 2018. Over the years, Junction Café became more than just a café. With a commitment to quality and inclusivity, Mel and her team introduced a diverse menu catering to all dietary needs, from hearty classics to vegan and gluten-free options. As the café grew, so did the vision.

With the success of Tannum Sands, the next step was clear—bringing the Junction Café experience to Tondoon Gardens, a stunning location surrounded by nature. This new café offers the same laid-back atmosphere and great food but in a breathtaking garden setting, perfect for relaxed dining, special events, and unforgettable celebrations.
Hitting the Road
Taking things on the road, The Junc Truck was launched to bring fresh, flavour-packed food to events, private functions, and festivals across Central Queensland. From burgers and toasties to custom event menus, the food truck adds a new layer to the Junc experience—delivering great food wherever the party is.
What started as a small local café has evolved into a multi-location food hub, serving up quality meals, great coffee, and unforgettable experiences—whether at the café, in the gardens, or on the go.
